The Government wants to help you to turn electric

The Government currently supports the purchase electric cars and vehicles with the Plug-in Vehicle Grant. The Office for Low Emission Vehicles (OLEV) has a list of eligible vehicles.

Alongside the Electric Vehicle Homecharge Scheme to assist with costs of installation of a home charger as well as the Workplace Charging Scheme.

The Electric Vehicle Homecharge Scheme

OLEV electric home charge scheme grant contributes towards the installation of a home charger for plug-in vehicles.

The grant is a 75% contribution towards the cost of one chargepoint and its installation up to a maximum of £350 (including VAT) per household/ per eligible vehicle for installations that take place on or after the 1st of April 2020

OLEV Electric Vehicle Homecharge Scheme

 Eligibility Checklist:

  1. The Electric Vehicle Homecharge Scheme provides a grant for individuals who have taken keepership of a new or second hand eligible electric vehicle on or after 1 October 2016 as long as they have not claimed against the previous chargepoint schemes.
  2. Your electric vehicle is eligible if it appears on the OLEV eligibility list
  3. The installation address must have designated private off-street parking

HOW TO APPLY FOR OLEV GRANT HOME CHARGE SCHEME
